Beginning at 9:00 PM, this two-hour experience invites you into an elegant and private ochaya setting, where you will enjoy Kyoto's refined hospitality in an atmosphere of quiet sophistication. A geiko (the Kyoto term for geisha) and a maiko (an apprentice geiko) will welcome you into the timeless traditions and graceful customs that have been preserved within Kyoto's kagai (geisha districts) for generations.

Throughout the evening, enjoy meaningful conversation with a geiko and a maiko as they share stories of Kyoto's cultural heritage, their artistic traditions, and life within the kagai. A jikata geiko (a geiko specializing in traditional music and shamisen performance) will provide live shamisen accompaniment, while a maiko will perform graceful traditional dances to the music.
